On Friday, May 13, Ethan and Noah celebrated their 6th and 4th birthdays with a combined party in our backyard. It was a backyard camp out party. We set up the tent, put up the chairs and fire pit and invited a dozen of the boys' best buddies over to camp. The kids were divided into two teams, the Ethan Eagles and the Noah Nighthawks. The kids roasted hot dogs, went on a scavenger hunt and hike, toasted marshmallows, told jokes and then snuggled into their sleeping bags for a silly ghost story. The evening was made complete with s'more cupcakes! The birthday boys and all of their guests had a great time camping. Happy Birthday, Ethan and Noah!
On April 28, 2011, Ethan Keller became a 6 year old!! He had a great time, celebrating all day long. The day started with donuts from Krispy Kreme, lunch and pie with Grandma and Grandpa at Village Inn, then dinner at Joe's Real BBQ with mom and the brothers and finally dessert at Liberty Market. We are so thankful for Ethan. He is a special boy and we are so proud of him!!
After a busy day celebrating Easter at church, then with the Brixeys, and with the Kellers, we headed over to the Dickinsons for an Easter Egg hunt as the sun was setting. They had over 200 eggs for the kids to find, loaded with candy and money. The kids had a blast finding the eggs and it was the perfect way to end a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our savior!
We met several of our dearest friends at 7am on the church lawn for brunch and an Easter egg hunt before church on Easter morning. It was a beautiful morning and a great way to start this very special day!
On Saturday, April 23, we had a small celebration for Ethan's birthday. Dad was to be out of town the entire week of Ethan's birthday, so we celebrated early. Ethan opened his present from Mom and Dad, and opened a present from his brothers--a homemade Lego set. Then we went to Souper Salad with the Dickinsons for a yummy dinner and dessert.
On April 21, just a few days before Easter, Daniel and Benjamin closed off their room for the day while they prepared an awesome Easter Party for the entire family! These boys really worked hard and thought of everything! They decorated, planned games and kept it all a surprise until the unveiling that evening. We played pin-the-tail-on-the-bunny, had an egg hunt, played hot-potato-egg, and they even made a pinata!! We had a great time at the party, and the boys really worked hard together to plan it. Way to go!!
Energetic Ethan is our most eager student! He is four years old and in pre-kindergarten. He loves to get his workbooks out when the older boys start school. He is always smiling and puts a smile on the faces of everyone around him! He loves to tell others that Jesus has given him a new heart!
